The king cobra is the monarch of the rainforest. It grows all its life and in advanced years (and it lives for 30 years, or even more) this snake is able to grow up to six meters in length! There is a myth that the king cobra is the most venomous snake in the world, but that is not the case. Its venom is deadly indeed, but there are snakes on Earth with a ten times stronger venom. The king cobra treasures its weapon, saves it, doses and usually spends just enough to surely kill the enemy or victim. Other snakes are the favourite preys of the king cobra. With its impressive size and absolute fearlessness, it is capable of making an attempt even on an eight-meter python’s life! If the path is blocked by a dangerous big enemy, the cobra makes the first and as a rule the last warning before it attacks: it stands on its tail and extends its luxurious hood - a symbol of monarch’s power.
